Caio Mamberti

Biography

Born in Brazil into an artistic family: mother a professional singer and father a film and theatre actor.

Caio entered into the music profession at the tender age of 13 playing drums, guitar and sometimes piano in the bars around the bohemian district of Bela Vista in São Paulo, his hometown. a period he considers the basis of his musical development.

In his formative years Caio played and collaborated with many well know Brazilian artists including Filo Machado, Cauby Peyxoto and Paulinho da Viola.

Later on, after a very productive 6 months touring in Japan where he had a residency at The Hot Crocket in Tokyo and the Hibya Park festival.

Caio returned to Rio de Janeiro. Heavily influenced by the potent musical culture of this country, Caio began to compose his own compositions performing them on the live stage in many of the venues around São Paulo.

His curiosity and passion for discovering new musical horizons eventually enticed him to move to France where he soon found himself hired by the likes of Tania Maria, Monica Passos and Stevie Wonder.

Both as a player and a composer Caio Mamberti never fails to share his music with a generous creative spirit and affable nature nourished by his own rhythmic and melodic variations on his Brazilian roots.
